Amica Insurance Hall of Fame Series Boston

The Amica Insurance Hall of Fame Series Boston made its debut on Saturday, November 15, delivering a Top-10 showdown on one of basketball’s most iconic stages. In the first Hall of Fame Series game ever hosted in Boston, No. 3 UConn squared off against No. 7 BYU on the legendary parquet floor, with more than 16,000 fans packing TD Garden and a national audience tuning in on FOX.

The weekend began with the Tip-Off Reception, hosted in partnership with Meet Boston and View Boston, where members of the Boston business community came together for a legendary evening of sports, sips, and skyline views at View Boston’s observation deck. Leading into the event, the Hall of Fame Series also worked with local schools across the greater Boston area for multiple basketball giveaways.

On the court, the matchup featured two elite programs and two local standouts returning home: BYU’s AJ Dybantsa (Brockton, MA) and UConn’s Alex Karaban (Southborough, MA). At halftime, the Series honored UConn legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Ray Allen, recognizing his historic contributions to both the Huskies and the sport.

As with every Hall of Fame Series stop, the Position Sports team continued to execute all facets of the event, including team logistics and operational needs, communications, marketing, social media, game operations, and VIP hospitality.

With a raucous crowd, a national broadcast spotlight, and a memorable debut on the parquet, the Amica Insurance Hall of Fame Series Boston established itself as a premier new stop on the college basketball calendar. And with the momentum from this year’s event, fans can expect the Series to return to Boston again next year.
