Position Sports is seeking an experienced, highly organized and solutions-oriented Project Manager to join our Las Vegas office. This role will be responsible for managing projects, client events and activations from planning through execution, with a particular focus on supporting new clients, new business initiatives and expanding event programs.

The Project Manager will work closely with Position Sports leadership and project teams to develop and execute programs that meet client objectives while maintaining the high level of service, organization and execution expected across Position Sports events.

This position requires someone who can independently manage projects, communicate confidently with clients and oversee internal teams and vendors, manage budgets and timelines, and take ownership of event execution both in the office and onsite.

Objectives of this Role

  • Manage and execute projects, events and activations for Position Sports clients.

  • Serve as a key project lead for existing and new client events, activations and emerging business opportunities.

  • Organize and manage workflow, timelines, production and key deliverables across assigned projects.

  • Work closely with Position Sports leadership to transition new business opportunities from concept and planning into successful execution.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors and internal team members.

  • Identify solutions and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and overall event execution.

  • Help establish and support Position Sports’ growing presence and operations from the Las Vegas office.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams, including coordinators, interns and additional event staff, while working closely with directors and senior leadership.

  • Independently lead assigned projects and activations from initial planning through onsite execution and final closeout.

  • Take an active role in the planning and execution of new client events and first-year activations, helping establish processes, timelines and expectations.

  • Develop and manage project workbacks, production schedules, timelines and key deliverables.

  • Assign responsibilities and ensure project teams remain accountable to deadlines and client expectations.

  • Coordinate internal departments, vendors, venues and external partners to ensure all elements of an event are successfully executed.

  • Lead onsite event operations independently when Directors or senior leadership are not onsite.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including communication, negotiations, deliverables and onsite execution.

  • Assist with event and project budgets, including budget development, tracking, reconciliation, audits and invoice review.

  • Ensure vendor invoices and payments are submitted, tracked and properly accounted for.

  • Identify potential project challenges and proactively develop solutions before they impact execution.

  • Conduct project and event recaps to identify successes, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support leadership with planning and strategy for future projects, client programs and new business opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with the broader Position Sports team across multiple offices, clients and projects.

  • Maintain a strong presence in the Las Vegas office while supporting projects and events nationwide.

  • Travel as required for client meetings, site visits, events and activations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, event management, marketing or a related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in sports, events, experiential marketing, project management or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects, events and activations.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing junior team members.

  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients, executives and vendors.

  • Knowledge of event operations, production, budgeting and vendor management.

  • Ability to develop project plans and operational processes that maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to adapt quickly as client needs, timelines and event requirements evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large-scale sporting events, brand activations, experiential programs or live events.

  • Experience onboarding or launching programs for new clients and new business.

  • Experience developing and managing event and project budgets.

  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions that improve productivity and event execution.

  • Experience managing vendors, venues and production partners.

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, Keynote, Word and Excel.

  • Existing knowledge of or relationships within the sports, events or experiential marketing industries is a plus.

  • Responsive team player who can quickly prioritize among multiple pressing tasks and deadlines.

  • Comfortable working with multiple levels of staff, leadership, clients and external partners.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and decisions.

  • Ability to work nontraditional hours when required by events, including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to travel regularly for client meetings, site visits and events.

  • Ability to operate onsite events, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Position Location & Travel

This position will be based in Position Sports’ Las Vegas office and will work closely with leadership and team members across the organization. The Project Manager should expect regular travel to support client events, new activations, site visits and other Position Sports programs throughout the year.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
