Hoophall Classic
The 23rd annual Army National Guard Hoophall Classic, presented by Spalding, took place from January 16-20 at Blake Arena at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts — the birthplace of basketball. Known as one of the country's premier high school basketball showcases, the Hoophall Classic featured an impressive lineup of elite teams and top-ranked players, including 18 of the Top 25 ESPN Boys High School Programs and 35 of the Boys Top 100 Class of 2025. Ten of the Class of 2025's WESPN Top 100 recruits were also showcased across seven girls' games. Fourteen of the 33 games were broadcast nationally, including nine on ESPN's platforms and five on the National Basketball Association (NBA) App and YouTube. The event upheld its tradition of delivering thrilling matchups and memorable performances in a venue rich in basketball history.
The excitement of this year was magnified by the inaugural Army National Guard Hoophall Invitational, presented by Spalding, a 64-team tournament held on January 18-19 across seven high schools in Springfield. The Invitational offered an expanded platform for high school athletes to demonstrate their skills and contribute to the city's growing legacy of basketball excellence.
