Kevin Foley - President

Since launching Position Sports in 2005, Kevin Foley has seen his concept of a ‘brand-positioning’ firm grow into a thriving company with its clients consisting of the top Fortune 500 corporations and elite athletes. From events at Madison Square Garden and the NCAA Final Four to the steps of the Temple Athena Nike in Greece to the basketball courts of Senegal to boardroom meetings with today’s trendsetters, the company has made a global impact in the sports world.

In only five years, Position Sports has represented clients such as NIKE Basketball, Jordan Brand, Burger King, POWERade, USA Basketball and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. It has produced live nationally televised programming on ESPN, coordinated events as far away as Istanbul, coordinated media outreach for major sports announcements and helped to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.

Prior to Position Sports, Foley was the Executive Director of Operations at Sports America, Inc. in Rockville, Md. where he managed the McDonald’s All American Game for five years. The event raised over $1.5 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities during that time period and included the creation of the Girl’s Game in 2002.

In 2003, he developed the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic which became Sports America’s largest business venture. The game is nationally televised each August and has featured honorary chairmen such as Cal Ripken, Jr., Reggie Jackson, Ozzie Smith and Stan “The Man” Musial. The event raised over $250,000 for pediatric cancer research in its first four years.

Foley has also produced events in the past few years featuring sports figures such as Ripken, Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudemire, Paul Pierce, Kevin Durant, Deron Williams and Vince Carter.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he attended Milton Academy for high school, followed by the University of Maryland, where he received a BA in Journalism with a concentration in public relations. Before Sports America, Kevin worked in the University of Maryland Athletic Media Relations Department, Edelman Worldwide in Washington, DC, the ESPN Sports Almanac and the Boston Red Sox.

He lives in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife Kate and their son Landon.

Marc Steigerwalt - Vice President Event Operations

Marc joined Position Sports in 2006 and has played a major role in the company’s growth by overseeing the development of each company event. With his current role as Vice President of Event Operations, Marc has produced events as far away as Turkey, Senegal and Lithuania to almost every major city in the United States for major brands such as NIKE, Jordan Brand, POWERade and Burger King.

Before Position Sports, Marc worked at Sports America, Inc. for four years, where he held the title of Director of Operations. He handled all the day-to-day operations for the McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Game and the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic. He also has worked on the Jordan Brand All-American Classic, The Morgan Wootten Invitational, The National Quarterback Club and The Quarterback Club of Washington.

Marc has also served as the Director of US Operations for the SEEDS (Sports for Education and Economic Development in Senegal) Foundation. SEEDS is a non-profit organization which seeks to enhance the quality of life of young people and spur socio-economic growth through sport. Marc’s responsibilities included maintaining day-to-day operations, assisting with prospecting new sponsors, organization of SEEDS activities in both the United States and Senegal and preparing and distributing all press materials.

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he attended Northern Lehigh High School, followed by the University of Delaware, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. Prior to Sports America, Marc worked in the University of Delaware Athletic Operations Department, Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball team in Wilmington, DE and with the former Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs of the United States Basketball League.

Marc and his wife Danielle have three daughters Skylar, Delaney and London.

Natalie Caldwell - Director of Communications

As the Director of Communications for Position Sports, Natalie Caldwell drives the logistical aspect of the company’s marketing and media strategy. Natalie is responsible for coordinating all the details required to ensure an event runs smoothly and successfully.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Natalie graduated from Charleston Southern University in 2008, where she majored in Sociology and played basketball for four years. Upon graduation, Natalie went on to pursue a professional basketball career in France. During the summer of 2008, Natalie was one of 205 interns, selected out of a pool of 15,000 applicants, to participate in the NIKE Adrenaline Internship program where she learned valuable lessons in product development and marketing.

Prior to joining Position Sports, Natalie worked with numerous professional athletic camps including: Chris Paul’s Youth Camp (Summer 2009-2010), Paul Pierce, LeBron James, and Vince Carter’s NIKE Skills Academy (Summer 2009) Amar’e Stoudemire, LeBron James and Deron Williams’ NIKE Skills academy (Summer 2010), and even worked as an assistant Varsity and JV coach where she helped the Bishop McGuinness High School basketball team win a North Carolina State Championship.

Chris Shoop - Digital Media and Brand Manager

As the Digital Media and Brand Manager for Position Sports, Chris Shoop thrives to follow the company motto of “Positioning” its events above the rest. Chris is responsible for all Social Media and Website Operations.

Born into a competitive hardworking family Chris learned at a young age that you must find something to drive you. It was in sports that he found his true passion. After high school He went on to play golf for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where his desire for excellence only grew. Throughout his college career he won numerous awards and honors including Athlete of the Year and Conference Player of the Year.  He finished his college graduating with a degree in Sports Management.

Prior to Joining Position Sports, Chris earned valuable experience in college through numerous internships. In 2010 while interning for the Air Force Academy Athletics’ Chris assumed the role of Game Day Assistant and assisted in organizing and running Football, Basketball and Hockey games.  In 2011 he joined the Bruno Event Team, an organization that produced the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

Since joining the team at Position Sports, Chris has contributed to several events including the 2012 Jordan Brand Classic, Nike EYBL, Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp, Nike Skills Academy and the Nike Skills U.

Chris currently resides in Mesa, AZ and still follows his passion and dream of earning his card on the PGA Tour.

Will Sartin - Event Manager

As the Event Manager for Position Sports, Will is responsible for the management of all company’s events from setup and branding to sponsor fulfillment.

Born and raised in Winston Salem, NC in the heart of basketball country, Will has always had a passion for sports and known that a career in sports was his ultimate goal. Will followed this goal to Clemson University where he worked as a student manager for the Men’s Basketball team and Equipment Room. It was there where Will earned invaluable experience working with all aspects around the program and Athletic Department. Upon graduating, Will followed former Clemson Assistant Coach Shaka Smart to Virginia Commonwealth University as an Intern for the 2011 – 2012 season.

Will previously worked with the Position Sports team on several events including Chris Paul’s Camps, Jordan Brand Classic, Nike Skills Academy, and Nike EYBL.

Tracy Rish - Director of Finances

Tracy Rish joined the Position Sports team in fall of 2009 as Director of Finances. She is a certified public accountant with more than 22 years of experience in accounting and business. Providing the company with CFO savvy and strategic accounting services, she has experience working in a variety of industries including marketing, retail, and non-profit.

Before Position Sports, Tracy owned her first business at the age of 24. She has also served as Chief Financial Officer at one of the largest, most established Phoenix area construction companies.

After graduating from Arizona State University with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting Tracy went on to become a CPA in the state of Arizona.  She has been a member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and currently serves as Treasurer for the Phoenix Chapter of the Arizona Green Chamber of Commerce.

Tracy lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her son Justin and her yellow labs. She enjoys any and all outdoor activities from hiking in the mountains or enjoying a day at the beach.

Tim Churetta - Operations Coordinator

Tim Churetta began working with Position Sports in 2007 as one of the critical pieces to the company’s production team, especially on the East Coast. His main responsibilities at each event include overseeing the event setup, branding, staff management and vendor relations.

Over the years, Tim has helped on the operations side of the NIKE Skills Academies, LeBron James Skills Academy, King City Classic, NIKE Elite Youth Basketball League, Chris Paul Elite Guard and Youth Camps, Nike Skills University, Spalding Hoophall Classic and the Jordan Brand Classic.

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he attended Northern Lehigh High School, followed by the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a Bachelor degree in Movement Studies and Exercise Science. Tim later completed his Masters work at Lehigh University in the area of Educational Leadership/Principal’s Certification and is currently pursuing a certification in Sports Counseling through Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Tim and his wife Jennifer live in Northampton, PA with their son Owen and daughter Livia.  Tim teaches Wellness and Fitness at the high school level in the Northwestern Lehigh School District, also coaching Cross Country and Track and Field.

David Hinton - Event Manager

Born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC basketball has always been a main focus in David’s life. David played high school basketball at R.J. Reynolds and then was recruited to play at VCU under Anthony Grant. David redshirted his freshman year and the next season looked forward to Shaka Smart becoming head coach and bringing HAVOC to Richmond, VA.  During the next four seasons  the VCU Rams and David appeared in three NCAA tournaments (2011-13) and one Final Four appearance in 2011.

David received his undergraduate degree in Homeland Security in 2012 and his Masters in Sport Leadership in 2013. Following the conclusion of his senior season David worked as an event operations intern for the spring and summer seasons with Position Sports.

Megan Coghlan - Graduate Intern

As communications assistant, Megan helps manage the media relations and public relations aspect of Position Sports.

Megan grew up in Sacramento, CA and found her passion for sports at a young age while cheering loudly at Sacramento Kings basketball games.

The allure of the big time athletics program led her to attend the University of Arizona, where she started working with the Daily Wildcat student newspaper, covering Arizona sports.  She served multiple editor roles and eventually became sports editor in her last semester.  Megan wrote about all aspects of Arizona Athletics, including covering the basketball team during its reign as No. 1 in the country. 

During her time in college, Megan also interned for the Tucson Padres minor league baseball team for its final season in the city and got a taste of being involved in game day operations.  She also worked with the student government to bring concerts and events onto campus and was a member of the Sports Marketing Association.

Megan graduated from college a semester early with a degree in communications and minors in sports management and creative writing.  She currently resides in Mesa, AZ.
